Graces Mews hosts an evening of Buddhist chanting and Live Music as a sonic response to Chardchakaj Waikawee's exhibition 'Youth'
To conclude Chardchakaj Waikawee's solo exhibition 'Youth', Graces Mews hosts an evening of Buddhist chanting and Live Music. Extending from Waikawee's own Buddhist Practice, monks from a local monastery will start the event by leading a session of chanting.
The evening continues with a live music programme curated by Eastern Margins, a London collective celebrating East and Southeast Asian talent. The programme brings together a DJ set by Jeremiah Jim (Asian Paper) and a live performance by Amane & The Bastard. The two parts of the evening reflect the two bodies of work brought together in Youth, connecting contemporary youth culture with spiritual practice.
