Meet Petrushka — one of the most beloved characters of traditional Russian puppet theater!

In this new production by «Chest of Tales.People & Puppets» Petrushka takes young audiences on a lively journey through the colorful world of traditional street and fairground puppet theater.

Along the way, he meets his famous theatrical “relatives” from other countries — Pulcinella from Italy, Polichinelle from France, and Punch from England.

And what would a true fairground show be without the audience joining in? The puppets and performers sing, dance, joke, and play — and young spectators become part of the fun, just as audiences have done for centuries in the tradition of popular street theater.

Petrushka is a joyful, musical, and educational family show celebrating puppetry, laughter, and theatrical traditions from around the world.
