An Evening with Mozart and Coleridge-Taylor

There is a long tradition of composers featuring one instrument alongside a string quartet, usually named after that instrument. Composers have historically used this instrumentation as a chance to highlight the solo instrument while giving the quartet just as much depth and beauty. In this performance, we will feature Mozart’s and Coleridge-Taylor’s Clarinet Quintets. As skillful composers, they have taken the liberty to shine the spotlight on each instrument throughout their works.
