Waro - Excursus Exhibition

Matteo Mauro Studio will host contemporary artist, Waro for his intervention Excursus. Waro will flood the studio with his futuristic vision, introducing the artists distinctive visual language through dialogue with Matteo Mauro's artworks in one of Milan's most active contemporary art districts.

Excursus therefore aims to be a small synthesis of the beginning and the end, at least for now, of the artist’s research. From a geologist of the future, Waro transforms into a transmitter of an emotional dimension and of a conception of art that, rather than belonging to the future, ultimately seems profoundly contemporary.

"Waro is not simply an artist: he is a researcher. The subject of his research, however, is not the past, but a future so distant that it appears at once both futuristic and prehistoric. Through his works, he tells us of a world that, millions of years from now, will closely resemble the circuits that today inhabit our technological objects. Tubes intertwine like vital viscera, inhabited by a population of Yu, the man of the future, themselves made of cables and protrusions.
