Close to Home: Closing Performance by Richard Moreno
Join Close to Home artist Richard Moreno for a live performance during Free First Thursday at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale.
Drawing from the sounds, imagery, and atmosphere of South Florida, Moreno creates immersive works that blur the boundaries between sculpture, installation, music, and performance. His practice brings together heavy metal, swampy landscapes, gothic imagery, and experimental sound to create an experience that is as physical as it is auditory.
For this special performance, Moreno will transform the museum space through sound and movement, bringing the darker, more visceral side of Close to Home to life.
Join us for an evening of music, performance, and art as we celebrate the closing days of Close to Home, on view through October 4th, 2026.
