The Stories Trees Tell forest honoring workshop
The wisdom of trees and magic of the lush forest await you! Join us in the woods for nature connection, wisdom, silence & sharing.
Honor Nature on a short hike into the lush Appalachian forest on a mountain. Bask in the wise presence of the Trees as you remember your roots and reunite with Mother Earth, the mother of us all.
Take some time out of life to connect with traditional ways, commune with big trees and share your experiences in common heart with other good folks!
We will immerse into nature together in a beautiful mature forest on a mountainside in Weaverville to receive whatever wisdom and magic this Summer evening offers us.
Please bring a notebook and a pen and a blanket or camping chair to sit on as we will spend some time sitting in a circle on the ground together. We will be spending 25 minutes of discussion, orienting us to our connection with the trees, then 20 minutes of quiet time walking in and listening to nature. We will then write what we experienced and join together to share those experiences.
Wholesome organic chicken salad will be offered for $10 per serving. (This is an extra cost, so bring cash for this on=site purchase.) Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own light lunch.
Please wear hiking shoes and long pants. Even though we will be hiking on a trail, there could be some poison ivy along the way.
We will meet in the parking area.
Donations are appreciated and can be sent to Adam and Erin. In addition, when you register, you will be asked to pay a small amount for materials.
This event will take place on a mountain 25 minutes' drive north of Asheville, NC.
This event was originally founded with the premiere forest conservation group in the Southeast region, Dogwood Alliance.
This event will happen rain or shine. If raining too much. we'll meet in our log cabin in circle to share about traditional Central Mexican-traditional wisdom and healing ways.
