Hillside Club bluegrass jam: Moonshine Tunes (September)
Open to musicians of all levels. Everyone is welcome to listen or play.
Join us for a bluegrass jam at the Hillside Club, from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The jam is free, and there are three rooms for jamming. The slow jam is in the green room (by the stage). BYOB (beer and wine allowed; please no hard alcohol or spirits).
The theme in September is “Moonshine Tunes.” This means we encourage you to call songs with the jam theme (interpret the theme as you like!). Of course all other bluegrass and country tunes are welcome as well.
This is an appoximately-monthly event. Check the Hillside Club website for future dates, or send us a message through eventbrite to join our email list.
A word about song selection: We encourage folks to choose songs from the bluegrass canon. If you decide not to, it’s best to choose a song that has no more than 4 chords (to avoid jam busters), and be prepared to take a moment to briefly teach the song if necessary.
