Man to Man: Addressing Demand & Preventing Exploitation. What role do men play in preventing sexual exploitation?
October 1st SNHTTF Quarterly Collaborative
Join us for Man to Man: Addressing Demand & Preventing Exploitation, an engaging conversation focused on the role men can play in challenging the attitudes, behaviors, and social norms that contribute to exploitation. This event is open to all!
The event will begin with educational videos and key statistics to help participants better understand the connection between demand and exploitation. We’ll then move into a candid Man to Man panel discussion exploring how men can create healthy accountability, challenge harmful conversations, and influence their peers.
Together, we’ll discuss:
- Why men need to be part of conversations about preventing exploitation
- The connection between demand and exploitation
- Common misconceptions about buying sex and its impact
- How men can challenge jokes, attitudes, and behaviors that normalize exploitation
- Practical ways to hold one another accountable without creating defensiveness
- How men can help reduce demand in their friendships, workplaces, and communities
- What it looks like to move from awareness to meaningful action
This is an opportunity to listen, learn, ask honest questions, and leave with practical ways to be part of the solution.
