Evening social mixer, for people interested in making games accessible to disabled players.
GAConf US Meet Up: As October’s conference is fully online this year with networking and socializing on Discord, we holding an in-person mixer in the lead up to the conference so we can bring as many people together as possible.
What's it all about?
It's a chance for people with shared interest in accessibility for disabled players to get together in person for chat and networking. Some of the greatest success stories from the conference have come from discussions in the breaks and evening events.
Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and some light snacks will be provided, and there may also be some other fun surprises! You are welcome to bring food in with you, but please don't bring any allergens into the venue.
Literature table
As always we'll have a dedicated table for sharing leaflets, business cards and so on, so please feel free to bring along anything that might be of interest to other attendees.
Accessibility
The space is located on the 5th floor, accessible via the elevators once you enter the building. All bathrooms and a quiet room are on the same floor.This space is mostly an open rectangle with a variety of seating types and plenty of room for wheel chairs. A smaller section juts off, displaying art on the walls.
Light Rail Travel
If traveling via Light Rail, we recommend stopping at Symphony Light Rail Station, 3 block walk from the venue.
Free tickets
We offer free tickets for assistants of disabled attendees, and developers who have been recently laid off. If you need tickets for either of these, please email gameaccessibilityconf@gmail.com and we'll drop over a 100% discount code.
