Botanical Postcard Painting

Leave the digital world behind, and sharpen your nature observation skills with Beautiful Critters by painting a 5x7 botanical postcard in Tansy's lush outdoor classroom.

Using easy-to-find herbs and flowers as inspiration, you’ll learn the basics of botanical observation, color matching, and painting plant details. An outline illustration can be provided if needed, so no drawing experience is necessary. For those who are curious, we’ll also explore plant anatomy through an optional flower dissection.

All art supplies and guidance are provided. Participants will leave with a 5x7 journal full of their observations and notes, as well as their acrylic painted post card. Just bring your curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for making things by hand. Come paint, learn, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon surrounded by plants and good company at Tansy.

This workshop is recommended for ages 12 and up.
