Question 1

What's the parking situation?

Accepted Answer

Parking is available in numerous public parking lots in the neighborhood, as well as the lot directly across the street and street parking on 17th street.

Question 2

Do I need to purchase the cookbook to attend?

Accepted Answer

No! We encourage you to purchase or borrow a copy of Eating at Home so you can cook along, but you do not need to purchase the book from Vesper to participate. If you’d like a copy, ticket holders receive 15% off the book at Vesper Books and Wine.

Question 3

Do I have to be a good cook to participate?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. This is a gathering about everyday cooking, not culinary perfection. Whether you cook all the time or are just getting back into the kitchen, you’re welcome here.

Question 4

What if I don’t know anyone?

Accepted Answer

Come anyway! Vesper Service is designed as a communal gathering, and part of the evening is getting to know the people around the table through the food we’ve each made.

Question 5

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Accepted Answer

We’ll do our best to make the gathering welcoming to everyone, but because guests are preparing and bringing food from home, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. While everyone labels known allergies on their dish upon arrival, please use your best judgment when selecting what you eat.
