Over the Lege : 10th Anniversary Show

Over the Lege is the number one, and some say, only, political satire show based solely on the Texas Legislature. Not only outrageously funny, but more instrumental than ever as a form of artistic political protest in an increasingly hostile Texas.

Over the Lege is self-described as a little Saturday Night Live meets The Daily Show meets So You Think You Can Dance, and the Texas Observer reported that “Over the Lege bounces like a ricocheting pinball between gravitas and whimsy” - which we take as a massive compliment. Have you heard of Greg Abbott? Dan Patrick? Morons? This show is a thrilling combination of sketches, musical numbers, and improv plus poignant interviews with legislative celebrities. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and if we've done our job, you'll pee in your pants just a little. And maybe - just maybe - believe in the power of the people once again.

Over the Lege is presented in two acts. The first act is sketches and the second act includes an intimate interview with a legislative celebrity that gives a behind-the-curtain look at how the proverbial sausage is made. Run time is 90 minutes that includes a 15 minute intermission. Previous legislative celebrities have included Senator Wendy Davis, Gubernatorial Candidate State Representative Gina Hinojosa, and Texas Heritage Songwriters Association's hall of fame honoree, country music legend Radney Foster.

REFUND POLICY:

Refunds can be requested up to 24 hours before the start of the show. If you purchase tickets and are a no-show on the night of the performance, you forfeit the right to a refund. Email contact@fallouttheater.com or contact Eventbrite through your purchase receipt.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

We recommend audiences to be 18 or older due to mature content on stage; however, those under 18 are welcome with parental discretion.

PARKING:

Street parking is typically available within a 2 block radius of the theater. Try parking north of 7th Street on Lavaca, or west of Lavaca near Guadalupe & 8th (by the old library). We do not validate parking.

DRINK POLICY:

Our venue is BYOB. Must be 21+ years of age and present valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises. We reserve the right to deny service to anyone.
