Fourth Annual Parks For Pollinators Bioblitz

Fourth Annual Parks For Pollinators Bioblitz

Overview

Join us and help discover plants, pollinators and wildlife that call Las Vegas home!

Free park entry for this event!

We are having a “Plant Swap” (new this year) so participants can swap plants or even seeds and other gardening tools, if interested. Bring what you have that is extra!

The Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz is a national campaign sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation. This September, parks throughout the country will be participating in a fun challenge to see how many pollinator species can be documented throughout the month. It is easy for you to participate, too! Simply join our project page, make observations on your own, and upload using the iNaturalist app. With the iNaturalist app, the online community will help identify the species of plant, animal or insect you've observed. By reviewing other observations, you can help make our data "research grade"!

Our main event with exhibitors and STEM activities will be held Sept. 12, but you can participate by exploring the nature and wildlife at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs all year long!

This information will help us understand our local biodiversity and how we can better protect the plants, pollinators and other important wildlife in our community. Sign up to participate in our Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz now, by creating an account at iNaturalist and joining our iNaturalist project page for 2026.

We have more than 750 observations for the 2025 year and 600+ that are “Research Grade” material!

How to participate:
