Tim Hort & The Radio Hour celebrate its 25 Year Anniversary of playing Uncommon Ground this year. With several weeks on the Top 100 US College Chart in 2026, Tim’s live set is defined as “80s rock with a poetic twist.” An updated spin on REM, Talking Heads, Cure…all that. “Hort is obviously experienced at performing and writing powerful music. I highly recommend seeing this guy play live.” -AllWhatsRock.com
Freddy Harboe aka “Jimmy Jim,” from the Chicago Americana group, “No Hero,” performs in the tradition of acoustic roots music, exploring themes of reflection and redemption. Freddy plays an opening solo set at Uncommon Ground of sincere original songs reminiscent of early folk rock with a deeply personal bent.
Joe Griffin is a 2026 Jefferson Award winning Chicago composer whose original songs call to mind artists as John Lennon, David Bowie, and R.E.M. Come out to Uncommon Ground on Saturday, October 24 to celebrate Joe’s 2026 acoustic show for the release of new mixes of his debut album, “Rough Cut Love.” This can’t-miss set is “loaded with infectious pop hooks, impeccable classic rock sensibilities, and seasoned with a dash of alt-rock spiciness.”
