Probably Magic: Magic Variety Show is the showcase for Austin’s funniest and most talented magicians. Specializing in smaller and more intimate venues, our performers are usually seen at private events only; but we love magic so we’re bringing it to the Fallout stage for everyone to enjoy. Come experience why magic is better live and be amazed by some of the best magic you’ll see outside of Las Vegas.

Probably Magic is a unique blend of comedy and magic and can only be seen at the Fallout Theater. Our show features a rotating cast of five Austin magicians performing 90 minutes of mind blowing magic. The show is hosted by magician Dr. Gary who brings his own quirky take on prestidigitation. If you’ve been around Fallout for the past few years, you’ll remember Dr. Gary as a three-time winner of Improv vs Everything. Our rotating cast of magicians has included Black Bert, JD Stewart, Dylan Love, J. Weldon, Bobby Cordell, & John Carter.

More about our magicians: Probably Magic magicians have been performing magic for a combined total of 230+ years.  Black Bert has been entertaining people of all ages with Magic since he was nine, including the King and Queen of Sweden (true). In 2021 Black Bert was awarded the title of "Magician of the Year" by The International Brotherhood of Magicians in Austin. Bobby Cordell has been performing magic since 1976 and has performed all over the continent and in venues as diverse as the "Magic Castle" in Hollywood and "La Plaza de Toro's" in Mexico. Dylan Love is an award-winning magician specializing in sophisticated entertainment designed for discerning audiences who crave connection, surprise, and delight. J. Weldon is the current President of the Austin Assembly of the Society of American Magicians. He became enamored with magic at the age of 4 and immediately began entertaining people with his trusty Fisher-Price magic set. J. Weldon is the winner of the local 2025 Fool Us contest and has been recognized with a Vanishing Inc. award. JD Stewart has performed magic since he was in High School. He has performed live for hundreds of thousands of people and is internationally known. JD has consulted and performed in television, film, and theater. He has received several awards for his work in magic including a Presidential Citation from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. John Carter is a comedy magician and mind-reader with 30+ years of turning unsuspecting volunteers into the stars of the show. John doesn’t use rabbits, smoke, or motivational speeches. Just laughs, astonishment, and the unsettling feeling that he knows what you’re thinking… because he probably does.

REFUND POLICY:

Refunds can be requested up to 24 hours before the start of the show. If you purchase tickets and are a no-show on the night of the performance, you forfeit the right to a refund. Email contact@fallouttheater.com or contact Eventbrite through your purchase receipt.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

We recommend audiences to be 18 or older due to mature content on stage; however, those under 18 are welcome with parental discretion.

PARKING:

Street parking is typically available within a 2 block radius of the theater. Try parking north of 7th Street on Lavaca, or west of Lavaca near Guadalupe & 8th (by the old library). We do not validate parking.

DRINK POLICY:

Our venue is BYOB. Must be 21+ years of age and present valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises. We reserve the right to deny service to anyone.

NOT FOR RESALE:

Unless otherwise agreed by Fallout Theater, the Customer may not resell tickets purchased for this event. Purchases of resold tickets from third-party websites are unauthorized and ineligible for refund by Fallout Theater; you will have to contact the third-party reseller for refunds.
