Mocktails in the Garden

What to expect: As the summer heat starts to wind down, join us for our second annual Mocktails in the Garden. Enjoy some delightful alcohol-free beverages centered around the bounty of the Farm's garden and orchard. From herbal tea to fruit-infused lemonade to honey-based mocktails, there will be plenty of delicious drinks to taste in this family friendly event.

In this relaxed environment surrounded by the bounty of the Farm's 55 raised garden beds, you'll be able to listen to some music while enjoying fellowship with others. There will also be some light snacks available highlighting some offerings from the Farm.

Program leader: Your guide will be Ranger Rachel, Park Naturalist at EMBARC Youth Farm.

Where to meet: Upon entering the gate, turn right and park in front of the brown building. Walk into the garden and sign in under the tent.

What to bring: Please dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle. We will have a large cooler for water and additionally containers for the drinks.

Restrooms: The available bathroom is the portapotty located in the parking lot by park head quarters on the other side of the park (professionally cleaned twice a week).

Recommended ages: This program content is for all ages.

Weather contingency: This program will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Notice will be sent via email no later than one hour before the program.

Walking distance: No more than 100 yards from your car to the garden.

Exposure: The garden is in full sun. We will have sunscreen and bug spray available in the garden, but we highly recommend wearing a hat.

Trail surface & accessibility: The garden is located down a steep grassy hill that might be difficult for people with mobility concerns. The garden has packed gravel that is easily accessible. DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs is committed to providing inclusive and accessible programs. Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request.
