FANHS Greater Seattle Summit

The Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) Greater Seattle Chapter presents Filipinos: The Global Citizen, a one-day summit bringing together Filipino Americans, FANHS members, community leaders, artists, educators, advocates, and supporters for a day of learning, dialogue, and connection. Through a range of sessions led by members of our community, the summit will explore the experiences, histories, contributions, and developing identities of Filipinos locally and across the world. Filipinos: The Global Citizen urges participants to consider how our histories travel with us, how Filipino identity takes shape across borders and generations, and how our communities continue to influence culture, education, civic life, the arts, and movements for change. The summit is also an opportunity to strengthen connections across generations and experiences while celebrating the breadth of knowledge within our own community.
