The Art of Endings is an exhibition exploring death, dying, and grief. Bringing together artists working across a multitide of mediums, the exhibition considers how we live alongside endings: how we remember, mourn, and mark endings.

Through intimate, poetic and sometimes unsettling works, The Art of Ending asks how creative practice can help us approach what is difficult to name. The exhibition makes space for reflection on the rituals and gestures that surround dying and mourning, as well as the memories, relationships and acts of care that continue afterwards. It considers the body, the archive, the trace and the imagination as sites through which death can be held and reinterpreted.

The exhibition opening will coincide with the launch of Living Deathward, a new publication by Luce Howard and Amy Warren that remimagines death care practices in the UK. Copies of the book will be available to purchase alongside a selection of artist prints.

The evening will include live performances by participating artists, a talk reflecting on the themes of the exhibition and publication, drinks, and an opportunity to meet the artists and browse the work.

Join us at Peckham Oasis Gallery for an evening of conversation, performance and shared reflection around the art of endings, and the forms of life, care and connection that emerge from them.
