THROUGH THE LIMINAL: An Equinox Celebration of Sound, Symbol & Ritual with SEEKERS and LEF!

Join us for an immersive Fall Equinox gathering exploring the threshold between light and dark through the contemplative and symbolic traditions of East and West.

The evening begins with an Equinox Ritual, marking this moment of balance and creating a shared space for reflection, release, and intention.

The immersive performance act SEEKERS will begin the night with an exploration of the Equinox through the Western esoteric language of Tarot. Prompted by an audience interactive three-card pull, SEEKERS will offer a musical experience inspired by the archetypes of the selected Arcana.

The night will culminate with Liberate Elemental Forces, highlighting the Eastern tradition of Indian raga, a living musical framework connected to mood, time, season, and states of consciousness. Like ritual, tarot, or astrology in the Western esoteric tradition, raga offers a symbolic language through which we encounter the inner landscape.

Together, these traditions create a dialogue between East and West, sound and symbol, light and dark, inviting us to experience the Equinox as a moment of balance, regeneration, and renewal.

SEEKERS explores the esoteric through performance, soundscapes and storytelling, offering sonic and spoken word journeys through the vast landscapes of the liminal.

Liberate Elemental Forces is an experimental Indian raga band from Los Angeles. Blending traditional South Asian instruments like sitar and tabla with ambient synthesizer, electric guitar, and pedal steel, their sound is based on the fundamental architecture of Indian classical ragas and rhythmic cycles, while fusing elements of psychedelic rock and spiritual jazz.

Live in concert, much of what they play is instrumental and immersive. They unfold long-form, transcendental improvisations through the melodic framework known as raga and explore polyrhythmic permutations within rhythmic cycles called taal. Along these musical journeys, other forms emerge: chants, mantras, songs. Influenced by Western artists like George Harrison, Alice Coltrane, Bill Laswell, Popol Vuh, Spacemen 3, and Bobby Callender, L.E.F. honors the traditional architecture of classical Hindustani music while singing their own song.

The band has performed extensively in and around Los Angeles at some of its most beloved venues, including the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever, the Belasco Theater, the Regent, Lodge Room, Zebulon, the Philosophical Research Society, Bronson Canyon for Living Earth, Meditation Mount in Ojai, the Levitt Pavilion, and private concerts in the homes of notable visionaries such as gallerist Jeffrey Deitch.

The core of the group has trained in both Los Angeles and Kolkata with their music guru, Pandit Shashanka Bakshi—a tabla master who has played with greats such as Ravi Shankar and Nikhil Banerjee.

The members of L.E.F. have toured the world as musicians in various incarnations and have come together through their mutual love of devotional music.
