In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we'll explore the history, flavors, and techniques behind birria, a dish that has evolved from humble beginnings in Jalisco, Mexico, into a global culinary sensation.</p><p>You'll learn how to toast and blend dried chiles, build layers of flavor, and create a rich, slow-braised birria from scratch. Along the way, you'll discover the techniques that give this iconic dish its signature depth, from developing a flavorful chile base to creating a deeply satisfying consommé.</p><p>More than just a cooking class, this is an opportunity to connect with the culture, creativity, and resourcefulness that have made birria a treasured tradition for generations. Whether you're looking to expand your culinary skills or simply deepen your appreciation for Mexican cuisine, you'll leave with practical techniques, a greater understanding of the dish's heritage, and the confidence to recreate its rich flavors at home.
