Elmhurst Quarry Tour

NOTE: TICKETS GO ON SALE SEPT. 1 AT 9 A.M.

Visit various areas, including private quarry platforms, and see how DuPage County Stormwater Management operates the facility to reduce area flooding. Tours depart from Elmhurst History Museum via bus every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., and last approximately two hours. Participants must be prepared to traverse uneven terrain and board and exit a school bus several times during their experience. MINIMUM AGE: 10 years old (children must be accompanied by an adult)

WAIVERS: A signed waiver must be filled out for EACH participant. There are separate waivers for adults and minor participants.

TICKET LIMIT: Maximum 6 tickets per order.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: Limited parking is available in the Elmhurst History Museum parking lot and on surrounding streets. The City of Elmhurst Adelaide parking deck at 120 W. Adelaide St. just west of York is conveniently located a block west of the EHM campus. The Elmhurst Metra station is a half block from the Museum campus.

WHAT TO BRING: A signed waiver for each participant, camera, weather-appropriate jacket/rain gear, water bottle.

REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be given, including no-shows. Quarry Tour will take place rain or shine. In the event of cancellation due to a major weather event, refunds will be issued to the participant's purchasing credit card.

TICKET DETAILS: Printed tickets are not required so you do not need to print and bring a ticket to the event.

ARRIVAL TIME: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your designated tour start time. Tours will leave on time. Ticketholders who miss their tour are NOT guaranteed a seat an another tour.
