Emancipation Ave. Walk Audit

Get hands on with shaping the community from the ground up. We’re elevating the neighborhood tour experience and inviting participants to become active observers in a walk audit of Third Ward’s most historic corridor, Emancipation Avenue. Your insights will have real-world applications in the Connecting Corridors initiative designed to build tools for community-driven development and comprehensive corridor revitalization.

Attendees will work with a team of urban planners and engineers to observe and evaluate walkability, catalog small business activity, and identify and document ways to safely move along the street and get from one point of interest to another. Learn how your input informs tools and research to drive projects that make lasting impact. Walk away with a new perspective on making a big impact with simple steps.
