Will there be seating?

Accepted Answer

This is primarily a walking, roaming event with opportunities to pause, enjoy your food, and take in the atmosphere. Seating will be available at select stations.

Question 2

Are tickets refundable?

Accepted Answer

All sales are final. If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another guest.

Question 3

Will vegetarian or dietary options be available?

Accepted Answer

Our chefs create bold, seasonal dishes that may include meat, dairy, and gluten. While some stations may have vegetarian options, we cannot guarantee accommodations for all dietary restrictions.

Question 4

What makes this event different from past BoysGrow fundraisers?

Accepted Answer

Controlled Burn is designed as an immersive, open-fire adventure — with roaming chef stations, hidden experiences, and surprises throughout the night. It’s unlike anything Kansas City has seen.

Question 5

What if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Due to this event's complexity and coordination required with culinary teams, there is no rain contingency date. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors and continue to best of our ability. We sincerely appreciate your generous support.

Question 6

What time does the event begin?

Accepted Answer

The VIP Experience begins at 3:30pm. If you purchased a VIP ticket, please plan to arrive between 3:20-3:30pm for an early happy hour. The General Admission dinner begins at 4:30pm. Please arrive between 4:15-4:30pm.
