In this New Course participants will take measurements, use a commercial pattern and create the cutest palazzo pants. Let’s work together to create something new in your wardrobe. In these classes students will create more challenging and complex sewing projects with the assistance of a talented instructor. Palazzo pants includes working with gathers/ ruffles, elastics, hems and casings.

Participants will need to purchase the paper pattern-Mccalls M8098 Palazzo Pant, 3 yards cotton, rayon or flowy woven fabrics and 1.5 yards of 1 inch wide elastic before class start.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of threading a sewing machine and sewing a straight stitch. It would be ideal if participant has completed a garment project before.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

•Focus on garment creation, basic hemming, cutting, basic sewing, and working with patterns.

• Designed to promote confidence with sewing techniques.

• Free digital sewing resources. We offer over 100 beginner sewing online tutorials and tips.

• Encourages community building among sewists.

• Explores potential career and side income opportunities.

• Led by instructors with over 20 years of sewing experience.

• In-class Sewing machines, sewing tools and instructor knowledge are included. Feel free to bring your sewing machine.

Masks are not required for these workshops! Masks are preferred.

Please arrive 10 minutes early in order to set up sewing machine and be ready for class session.
