The Chicago Cuatro Orchestra presents
Concierto Jíbaro Navideño 2026¡Parrandeando en Comunidad!
Featuring a signature blend of Latin rhythms and the unique sound of Puerto Rico’s national stringed instrument, the Cuatro.
Celebrating 30 years!
Celebrate 30 incredible years of music, culture, and community with the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra! Join us for an unforgettable evening honoring the legacy of the Puerto Rican cuatro and the generations of students who have kept its sound alive across Chicagoland.
The celebration continues with a special performance by Puerto Rico’s own Harold Pratts — the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and trovador whose voice and storytelling electrify every stage.
Plus, enjoy special guest performances by two dynamic Chicago artists: master trombonist David Rivera and his ensemble, Chicago Batuplena. And, Las BomPleneras, a Humboldt Park based, Bomba and Plena ensemble representing Puerto Rico and Chicago. Rooted in Afro-Puerto Rican folkloric traditions, Las BomPleneras brings powerful harmonies, explosive drumming, dance, and contemporary expression to the stage, celebrating the rhythms of Bomba and Plena while honoring their cultural roots.
