Is experience necessary?

Yes, American mahjong experience is necessary. This is not a lesson. However, our instructors will be available for questions and guidance.

What do I need to bring?

Just your 2026 NMJL card and MSD sticker passport. New league participants will have theirs included in their welcome bag.

What is included in the cost?

Your cost includes five weeks of luxury mahjong tile set up and play, welcome bag, a private room at a fun restaurant, chips and salsa, all the fun prizes along the way, and new friendships and laughter all while playing your favorite tile game!

Can I purchase food?

Yes, additional food and drinks are available to purchase. Manny’s has the best margaritas!

What time do I need to arrive?

Arrival window is 6:30pm-6:45pm. Game play will begin at 6:45pm - 9pm.

What if I can’t make every date?

That’s ok! You can find a sub if you can’t make each date, but their points do not count towards your total points for the league.  If you can’t commit to the league, drop-in tickets are available.

What are the grand prizes this league?

First place will go home with a full travel set by The Mahjong House ($375 value). Second place will get a OMM mahjong tote ($180 value). And third place will get a mahjong mat ($80). There will be many weekly prizes, along with some REALLY FUN surprises each week - we can’t wait to show you!!

What is the scoring system for points?

We will be following simple scoring bases on the NMJL card. You may play with blanks, but you obtain more points (+10/line), for not using blanks.
