UX Skills for Business Strategy

Overview

Design Strategy MBA at CCA presents UX Skills for Business Strategy

In this interactive talk, the co-authors of UX Skills for Business Strategy—Torrey Podmajersky, founder of Catbird Content, Maya Joseph-Goteiner, a CCA Design MBA alumna and cofounder of Velocity Ave, and Kim Mats Mats, founder of Three Lines—will explore how UX can directly drive business outcomes in an era defined by AI. Drawing on their framework of 99 UX skills and 41 business impacts, Maya will show how designers can link everyday design decisions to metrics like revenue, cost, risk, and customer loyalty. They’ll also dig into what designers need now that AI can generate interfaces, content, and prototypes in seconds: sharper problem framing, systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to design AI-powered experiences that deliver real value rather than gimmicks.

Attendees will leave with practical ways to map their own UX skills to strategic business goals, plus concrete guidance on how to future-proof their careers and teams as AI reshapes the practice of design.
