The session will include restorative yoga and energy and sound healing.
Held is a series created to give this community spaces to slow down, exhale, and remember what it feels like to simply be supported.
This first evening is devoted entirely to rest. We are pairing restorative yoga, group Reiki healing, and live sound to guide your nervous system into a state of deep calm. No performance, no pressure, just permission.
Why Rest
In a world that asks queer people to be resilient, visible, and "on," rest can start to feel like a luxury reserved for other people. It often is not modeled for us, and it is rarely built into our routines. Healing happens in the moments we allow our bodies to stop bracing and start settling. This gathering is an invitation to practice that, together, in community.
What to Expect
- Intro (15 min) — We open together and set intentions for the evening
- Restorative Yoga & Group Reiki Healing (45 min) — Gentle, supported yoga poses held with props, paired with group Reiki to ease the nervous system into rest
- Sound Journey (30 min) — Close the evening in stillness as we play crystal bowls, ocarina, chime, and ocean drum, letting the sound biologically reset the nervous system
How to Prepare
- Wear comfortable, loose clothing you can move and lie down in
- Bring a blanket, pillow, or anything that helps you feel cozy and supported
- Eat lightly beforehand. A full stomach can make it harder to settle into stillness
- Arrive with an open mind and no expectations of yourself. There is nothing to do here except receive
