September's lineup is a celebration of Colorado's finest — a high-energy R&B, Soul, and Blues showdown that'll have you dancing in the streets from the first note. Rex Peoples, a 7-time Colorado Blues Vocalist champion and International Blues Competition winner, is bringing the raw power and soul that made "Fried Food, Hard Liquor" a top-charting blues album. With X Factr and special guests The Desperados on stage, this is a night built for moving, singing, and shouting — pure community, pure groove, pure celebration.
Live music 6:00–9:00 PM. Free and open to everyone.
REx Peoples and XFactr
The X Factr was created by singer, songwriter, vocal coach, and Blues in Schools educator Rex Peoples in 2007. It is intentionally spelled without the “o” to represent the intangibles that make the religious shout, the partiers dance, and remind us of the emotions that make us say, “That’s my song!”
He wrote all lyrics and music for the CD : Fried Food / Hard Liquor. Rex was the 2nd most played single on Kai Turners “Strictly Blues station in 2016. The band was a semifinalist in the 2016 International Blues Challenge on Beale Street in Memphis. His title cut song was also covered on Chris Daniels and the Kings CD…Blues with Horns ” which so far has climbed the charts to #4 in the Contemporary top fifty chart in 2017.
Rex has worked with Otis Taylor’s Trans Blues Fest for the last 4 years. He was also televised on Blues Roots Music TV show.
