Hoosier River Watch Training

Do you wonder about the quality of the water in a stream near you? Would you like to become a citizen scientist as a volunteer water quality monitor? If so, join us for this FREE workshop to learn to monitor stream health by assessing habitat, biology, and chemistry. The Hoosier Riverwatch program is sponsored by the IN Dept. of Environmental Mgmt, Office of Water Quality whose mission is to monitor, protect, and improve Indiana’s water resources to ensure its continued use as a drinking water source, for wildlife habitat, and a recreational resource and economic asset.

Participants become certified Hoosier Riverwatch volunteers and will be eligible to use Hoosier Riverwatch monitoring equipment and attend advanced training workshops.
