Trust Your Body, Trust Your Training
A workshop on building trust in your body during hard training efforts and when returning from injury.
Trust Your Body. Trust Your Training.
Hard efforts and returning from injury can challenge more than your physical strength. They can change the way you interpret discomfort, respond to your body, and trust what you’re capable of.
This workshop will explore the mental side of pushing your limits and returning to sport after injury, including how to navigate uncertainty, fear of reinjury, and the sensations that come with hard training. We’ll discuss practical strategies for building confidence in your body, trusting your training, and knowing when to listen, adjust, or keep going.
The workshop will be interactive and athlete-focused, with plenty of time for questions and discussion afterward so you can bring your own experiences into the conversation.
This workshop will be led by Olivia Papakyrikos, M.Ed., LMHC, LPC, of Papakyrikos Therapy & Performance. Olivia is a licensed therapist for athletes and high-achievers and a sport & performance psychology consultant. She has spent the last decade helping athletes at all levels reach their full potential, recover from injury and disordered eating, and navigate anxiety, perfectionism, and overthinking.
The workshop will be held at Flowstate Physiotherapy in collaboration with Dr. Nyssa Midden.
