About The Speaker:
Stevie Fernandez is an adjunct professor and educator specializing in English, Spanish, communications, and linguistics, currently teaching at Nichols College. With a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and a background in Anthropology from UMass Boston, Stevie brings a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and communication. Their experience spans higher education, ESL instruction, Spanish language education, and community-based language programs, including work with the Afghan Women’s Cultural Center of New England and the Iranian Association of Boston. Stevie is passionate about helping students develop strong communication skills, confidence, and cultural understanding, and also serves as a faculty advisor for the Veterans Group at Nichols College.
