Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" premiered at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1879 to rave reviews and a sold-out run. A year later, in 1880, German actress Hedwig Raabe refused to perform the play as written, scandalized by the ending of the original text. In response, Ibsen wrote an alternate ending for the performance.
This is not that alternate ending.
