Ventana Ballet & Austin Camerata present:

Flower Shop

Step inside a shop where the flowers aren't quite what they seem, and a secret red door at the back sparks your curiosity. This September, the dancers of Ventana Ballet & the live musicians of Austin Camerata invite you to an intimate evening of dance, strings, & piano—performed just feet away from you at East Side Performing Arts in Austin. Witness the world premiere of this brand-new ballet set to an original piano quartet written by American composer Michael Alec Rose. It’s a story that starts in a flower shop—and goes somewhere you won't expect.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This is an intimate, up-close experience — not a traditional theater setting. You'll be in the same room as the dancers and musicians, close enough to hear the breath and feel the movement. The bar (sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka) is open before the show, during intermission, and after the show, as well. The vibe is come-as-you-are — dress up and wear something floral & bright, if you'd like! Total runtime: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (including intermission)

LOCATION & PARKING:

East Side Performing Arts (ESPA) 979 Springdale Rd, Austin, TX 78702
Parking is available behind the building. Enter the lot near Black Feather Vintage, and drive around to the back. We recommend rideshare if you plan to enjoy the bar.

AGE INFO:

The recommended ages for these evening-length performances of Flower Shop are 12 & up. However, those guests under age 12 are more than welcome to attend if they are comfortable remaining quiet & courteous for the duration of the 1-hour show. Disruptive guests will be asked to leave the theater by a member of the crew.
