Meet author Kevan Chandler and Illustrator Joe Sutphin at your Flagship HPB on Thursday, October 15 at 6 p.m. Kevan and Joe will join us to discuss and sign their latest book, Winnie-the-Pooh: The Graphic Novel, a beautifully charming graphic adaptation of A.A. About Kevan Chandler

Kevan grew up in the foothills of North Carolina with his parents and two siblings. The youngest of the bunch, he was the second to be diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a rare neuromuscular disease. He has a Bachelor's of Arts in Counseling from John Wesley College. An avid storyteller, Kevan is the author of several books and speaks worldwide about his unique life with a disability. He is also the founder of We Carry Kevan, a nonprofit striving to redefine accessibility as a cooperative effort.

About Joe Sutphin

Joe is an illustrator of books for kids such as the Eisner Award-winning Watership Down, Helen Taylor’s Little Pilgrim’s Progress, Andrew Peterson’s Wingfeather Saga, and the New York Times bestseller Word of Mouse by James Patterson. His love of nature, and of the living creatures in the fields and woods around his home, has informed his art for much of his life. Joe lives in a barn in Ohio with his wife, Gina, and a bunch of cats.
