Washington Improv Theater presents Stumped
The only thing more unpredictable than a real election is a fake one.
As mid-term season shifts into high gear, Washington Improv Theater (WIT) invites audiences on a fun-filled, satirical romp along the improvised campaign trails of two fictional local candidates (and their hapless but hilarious staff) as they do battle to come out on top in WIT’s fall Directors’ Series production, Stumped.
DC’s funniest improvisers will take electoral chaos to the next level as they explore the absurdities of American politics through a distinctly comedic lens, touching on everything from campaign financing and congressional gridlock, to scandals and hot mic gaffes. Because there’s no script, each show will be unique, and have new candidates representing districts in different states, spouting varied policy positions pulled from a hat. It’s a highly interactive show, with audiences playing a role in determining many of the surprise elements, including who wins in the end!
So, stop the doomscrolling, sit back, and enjoy as the cast of Stumped take a refreshing, new look at the mid-terms.

ABOUT WIT
WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-towners visiting, or just something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.
For over 25 years, Washington Improv Theater's experienced teams of improv comedians have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into a never-before-seen comedy show. And because every performance is based on an audience suggestion, that night's show will never happen again! Our homegrown talent has gone on to SNL, The Daily Show, HBO's Insecure and The White Lotus, and more!
Accessible pricing
For those who experience cost as a barrier, a limited number of affordable pricing tickets are available using the code AFFORDABLE. Currently enrolled college students can get discounted tickets with the code COLLEGESTUDENT (be prepared to show student ID).
