The People’s Gallery opens at Stove Works on October 2, featuring local art exploring the histories, struggles, resistance, care, and organizing that have shaped our communities.

Join us Saturday, October 24, from 5–9 PM for a free community event featuring the People’s Gallery, Night Market, and poster competition reveal.

The People’s Gallery asks us to look more closely at the stories that have shaped Chattanooga, including the histories that have been overlooked, erased, or left unfinished. The event brings artists, organizers, local businesses, and community members together to share those stories and consider what they mean for our city today.

What to expect

• The People’s Gallery: Explore local artwork responding to people’s history, resistance, community, and collective memory.
• Night Market: Shop from up to 25 local artists, makers, and businesses.
• Panel discussion: Hear from artists and community members about the histories and ideas behind the exhibition.
• Poster reveal: Meet the three selected poster artists and see which design takes first place.
• Music + conversation: Gather with your neighbors, hear from artists and organizers, and make connections across the gallery and market.
