September Bird Walk - Prairie Border Nature Preserve

September Bird Walk - Prairie Border Nature Preserve

Overview

Join Dunes-Calumet Audubon Society for our September bird walk at Prairie Border Nature Preserve in Jasper County.

This unique opportunity will take us into an important landscape of prairie, savanna and wetland habitats that supports a diverse array of birds and other wildlife.

Our walk will be led by Katey Powell, property manager and birder, who will share her knowledge of the property, its habitats and the birds that call this landscape home. With Katey’s expertise, we’ll explore the area while learning about the conservation work that helps maintain and restore these important habitats.

Whether you’re an experienced birder or just getting started, all skill levels are welcome. Bring your binoculars, field guide and curiosity, and be prepared to spend time enjoying the sights and sounds of this special place.

If you have questions about the walk or are unable to attend, please contact us at julie.bonnema@yahoo.com.
