Bruce Freedman has been at the foredront of the Canadian avant-garde for over 40 years, performing with legends like Paul Plimley, Barry Guy & George Lewis. Transposing his cut-up visual art practice over to music, saxophonist Bruce Freedman’s COLLAGE disassembles and reassembles musical elements in ways that can surprise the musicians as much as the audience. With Josh Zubot violin, Jared Burrows guitar, Karlis Silins bass, and Caesar Chew drums, Freedman’s controlled chaos cuts from intense energy to spacious reflection.
