Dog Workshop: Nosework for Enrichment! 🐕🐾

A dogs nose is their most powerful sense! It’s usually the most under utilized sense when it comes to working with dogs and training.

Scent training can increase your dogs confidence, give them an outlet, gives them a job, and provides both handler and dog with fun enrichment!

Join Melanie Canatella B.S., CPBT-KA, CPDT-KA, Fear Free Certified Trainer and handler of Search and Rescue dogs in learning the fundamentals of nosework with your dog!

We will be working in a group setting on the basics setting your dog up for success in nosework.

The goals of the class are:

-Introduction to basic fundamentals of scent work

-Your dog having the ability to engage with a AKC scent trails scent (birch oil)

-Be able to indicate that they found the right scent

-Be able to differentiate between “blanks” with no scent and the container with scent

With each ticket, attendees receive a scent tin to take home so they can continue practicing and building on the skills learned during the event.
