Diverse Musical Backgrounds Converge!
Singer-songwriter and pianist Sam Krugman, bassist Wolfgang Lagomarsini, and guitarist Timothy E. Pitt draw on their diverse musical backgrounds to infuse Sam’s insightful, original songs with the colors and rhythms of the music they love. They can touch the heart with a quiet ballad or electrify your inner dancer with a smooth-grooving R&B tune or a blast of the blues. Sit back, tap your foot, dream on, and enjoy!
Sam was raised in New York during the ’60s. Whether you were up on the roof or under the boardwalk, music was blasting toward the future. A toe still dipped in big bands and early rock ’n’ roll; folk, country, blues, R&B, and jazz filled the air. Sam’s tunes are built on these musical blocks, with lyrics reflecting a grateful life lived so far.
Wolfgang’s versatility and tasteful, rock-steady style made him a go-to player for blues, rock, funk, fusion, Latin, and bluegrass bands that performed at clubs like CBGB’s and The Bitter End and opened for the Dixie Dreggs, Chaka Khan, Tito Puente, and others.
Tim has been in the ensemble of many annual shows at Tompkins Corners. He’s played as a solo instrumentalist and in old-timey, bluegrass, and country bands, and is a proud member of Putnam Valley’s Kitchen Table Band. He can be heard on albums by such artists as John Gorka and Christine Lavin.
