Wood Talks is an interdisciplinary research symposium that examines the relationship between forests, buildings, climate change, and regional economies through the lens of wood-based and mass timber construction. Bringing together architects, foresters, manufacturers, educators, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders, the symposium will investigate how the forests of the Southeastern United States can contribute to a more climate-responsive and regionally grounded approach to building, acknowledging the role of the design and building profession on local economies. The symposium will be hosted by TuSABE on November 13 and 14 2026. The events will be held in Richardson Memorial Hall, Christopher Meyer is the lead faculty hosting and organizing the event.
