ProPAWS Conference 2026 - The Future of Pet Food

Pet guardians say they are open to alternatives. The market has not caught up. Why?

That gap, between what pet owners say they would consider healthy alternative protein ingredients (over 40%) and what's actually in the food bowl (<1% market share), is the starting point for the 2nd edition of the ProPAWS Conference, on 12 November.

We're not here to tell you what to think. We are bringing together 100+ vets, researchers, and industry professionals from across Europe to look honestly at what is known, what isn't yet, and what a healthy, sustainable bowl could look like for pets and for the planet.

Most of the industry agrees something is shifting. Far fewer agree on what to do about it, or whether alternative proteins hold up nutritionally, commercially, and in practice. That is exactly the kind of open, sometimes uncomfortable conversation this day is built for. A working session for the sector, veterinary health professionals, and scientists.
