Join us at Piedmont Plants Nursery to explore what insects we can find after the sun goes down!

614 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd

Hosted by local naturalist and Piedmont Plants Nursery owner Alison Northup and led by her entomology-obsessed husband Robby Deans, this evening will offer a fun opportunity to see a wide diversity of night life: we have already found over 2000 species of insects on the property! We will explore nocturnal flower visitors and insects that come to light traps and bait traps. We will also discuss how to record observations for the citizen science platform iNaturalist.There will not be access to bathrooms during this event.What to bring:<ul><li>Camera or phone: please download and create an account on the free iNaturalist app beforehand</li><li>Bug repellant for mosquitoes and ticks</li><li>Flashlight or headlamp</li><li>Long pants</li><li>Closed-toed shoes</li></ul>
