This is a skill-building program for students to acquire knowledge of basic sewing techniques including threading sewing machine, taking measurements, learning basic patterns, creating multiple projects including pillow or sleep eye mask, pajama shorts, lounge tunic top. No prior experience is required …. only an open mind! Sewing machine, sewing tools and pillow fluff, instruction are provided. Feel free to bring your sewing machine and tools if desired.

Materials list: Students will need to bring 4-5 yards of 100 percent pre-washed cotton fabric, 2 yards of 1-inch-wide elastic, thread for sewing.

Workshops are conveniently held in Historic College Park, GA right off Main Street. The address will be sent at registration.

Projects could include:

Pillow or sleep mask, pajama shorts, unisex tunic top.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

• How to thread a sewing machine
• Practice Stitching straight, curved and square lines.
• Basic Troubleshooting with sewing machine
• Fabric Basics & Sewing Tools 101
• Complete projects and work with patterns. Unisex patterns available in variety of sizes.
• 5 Day Class introduces body measurements, working with patterns, hemming and more.
• Ability to ask all questions with clear, concise answers and models
• Receive a beginner sewing notebook with video tutorial links, curated sewing machines for purchase, fabric store recommendations & more.

Masks are not required for these workshops! Masks are preferred.

Please arrive 5 minutes early in order to set up sewing machine and be ready for class session.

We offer a basic at-home sewing kit while sewing the most creative projects. All items are also utilized in the Learn To Sew In Person Workshop held by What's She Creating Enterprises.
