In this 4-session class you will create a one-of-a-kind art doll using simple hand-sewing and mixed-media techniques
In this class, students will explore the fascinating world of art dolls, from traditional folk dolls to contemporary art dolls, and discover what makes them unique forms of artistic expression. They will learn how to find inspiration, develop an original idea, and transform it into a one-of-a-kind art doll using simple hand-sewing and mixed-media techniques. Along the way, students will learn the fundamentals of designing an art doll pattern, hand sewing, and assembling their project. No previous experience is required. By the end of the course, each student will complete a unique handmade art doll to take home, along with the skills and confidence to continue creating on their own.
