GiftPoke is bringing mahjong to life! We've partnered with Ashley Gomez and Linda Casey of Dallas Mahj Club, certified Oh My Mahjong instructors who've taught over 1,500 players nationwide, for a weekend of hands-on lessons right here in Timonium.
Whether you've never touched a tile or you're ready to sharpen your strategy, there's a class for you.
Class options:
- Mahjong 101 — an introductory lesson covering tile identification, understanding the card, and rules of play. Perfect for brand new players.
- Mahjong 102 — a continuation of 101 for players who want guided practice and to build on the basics.
- Masterclass — designed for experienced players, covering advanced strategies and NMJL card breakdowns. This session may convert to a 101 lesson if it doesn't reach minimum enrollment.
Each session is 2.5 hours and includes a "How to Play Mahjong" pamphlet, all mahjong sets, NMJL cards, and tablecloths provided for every group of four. Plus, a raffle drawing at every session for mahjong prizes!
$75 per player, per session. Space is limited, grab your seat before it sells out.
