Tsunami Swim Team Spring Season 2026

Aquatic's MCAS Iwakuni Tsunami Swim Team is available for athletes ages 5-18 for the Fall Season from Aug 24 – Nov 19, 2026 at the IronWorks South Gym Indoor Pool. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just looking to have some fun, this is the perfect chance to make a splash and meet new friends!

Swim Evaluation:

Dates: Aug 24 – 27 | Time: 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Location: IronWorks South Gym Indoor Pool (Bldg.1010)

• Drop in anytime during the evaluation hours.
• Parents will receive an email NLT Aug 28 with their athlete's evaluation results and registration information.
• Athletes who pass the tryout will receive a promo code to register for the swim team.

Registrations

• Open to all base personnel, ages 5-18
• Cost: ​$100 per athlete
• Ticket Prices will differ from listed price due to Eventbrite Processing Fees.

Team Categories:

• Yellow – Intermediate 1
• Blue – Intermediate 2
• Black – Advanced

Practice Schedule: Aug 31 - Nov 19, 2026 (12 weeks)

• Blue & Black – 3:30-4:45 PM | Mon – Thu (4 days)
• Yellow – 4:45-5:30 PM | Mon – Thu (4 days)

Swim Meet Schedule:

At Sasebo: Oct 24, 2026

At Iwakuni: Nov 14, 2026

Late Entry:

Latecomers are welcome to join the swim team.

Volunteer Coaches Needed:

If you are interested in coaching, Aquatics is looking for swim coaches. Please email OMBIwakuni.Aquatics@usmc-mccs.org to receive a volunteer application. Aquatics will provide a LOA after the season.

Swim Team By-Laws:

Tsunami Swim Team By-Laws will be distributed once the athletes have been assigned to their respective team categories.

Swim Attire:

• Tsunami Swim Team attire is available for purchase at the swim outlet store: https://www.swimoutlet.com/collections/iwakunitsunami
• Athletes must bring their own practice swimsuit and goggles.
• Aquatics will provide a Tsunami swim cap and meet swimsuit for competitions.
