Nature-Connected Professionals MN Fall Gathering Unconference 2026

The NCP-MN Fall Unconference will begin on Friday, October 2nd, with an evening of camping. Presentations, workshops, facilitated conversations, and lightning talks will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Theme: Building Intentional Community in Relationship with Nature.

Three Grounding Pillars: Reciprocity, Connection, & Justice

A Day in Three Streams:

• The Great Tree: Offering ideas and practices on a topic through a presentation or workshop.
• Campfire Conversations: Facilitating a shared conversation about a topic without a specific agenda.
• Community Cafe: Lightning talks - Spontaneous sparks that must be shared. Posters & Tabling.

A single-day, anchored by an opening and closing circle. Times are approximate and may shift as details firm up.

9:00 – 10:00 am Opening Circle: Grounding together and welcoming the land.

10:00 – 11:00 am Session Block 1: Three streams running in parallel.

11:00 am – 12:00 pm Session Block 2: Three streams running in parallel.

12:00 – 1:00 pm Lunch and open time together.

1:00 – 2:00 pm Session Block 3: Three streams running in parallel.

2:00 – 3:00 pm Session Block 4: Three streams running in parallel.

3:00 – 4:00 pm Session Block 5: Three streams running in parallel.

4:00 – 5:00 pm Closing Circle: What we carry forward.

Logistics:

Outdoors by default, with a large barn as a weather backup in early October.

Tent camping welcome the night before for anyone who wants to land early. Portable stoves are fine; we'll gather around the fire pit by the lake. Register separately from the Saturday Unconference to secure your spot for $10. No discounts available for camping.

Registration via Eventbrite, with a Pay What You Can ticket option available so cost is not a barrier. Early bird discount of $10 off the Saturday Unconference available through August 31st. Maximum capacity is 100 people for the gathering. Funds collected for the NCP-MN Unconference will cover the cost of using RecuperAcres, provide honoraria to the people who made this gathering possible, and pay for the NCP website. Any excess funds will be donated to Indigenous organizations.

Accessibility: the land has uneven terrain and is not fully wheelchair-accessible. We're mapping access routes and will share details with registration.

Waiver and Medical Form required as part of registration.

Family Friendly: structured and free play opportunities for adults who would like to bring their family. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No Pets, except service dogs.

Food and water will be each participant's responsibility. There will be a community food table in the community cafe area for donations of food to share (e.g., fruit, veggies, and snacks). Fresh drinking water will be available to refill water bottles if needed.
