Sean Nelson Jazz Orchestra: Back in Action Season Opener

Since its founding, the Sean Nelson Jazz Orchestra has become one of The Side Door's most beloved monthly traditions, a seventeen-piece big band drawing together some of New England's finest musicians for an evening of swinging, large-ensemble jazz in the most intimate of settings. Led by trombonist and bandleader Sean Nelson, the orchestra brings the full weight and power of a big band sound to a room built for close, personal listening, a combination that has made this residency a favorite among Side Door regulars.

After a summer away from the club, the orchestra returns for their season opener, back in action and ready to kick off another year of monthly performances. Expect the same high-energy swing, tight ensemble playing, and infectious joy that has defined this residency since its start.
